Windows® Essential Business Server (EBS) 2008 is an infrastructure solution designed and priced specifically for the needs of midsize businesses with up to 300 computers.
It provides a unified Administration Console to manage an integrated IT infrastructure with the latest versions of management, messaging, and security server technologies. It simplifies your environment by bringing together Microsoft® product technologies – Windows Server, Exchange Server, System Center Essentials, SQL Server, Forefront Security a ISA Server - into a single solution with fully integrated installation and administration processes.
Part of the Windows Essential Server Solution EBS 2008 is the next step up from Small Business Server 2008 for mid size businesses with 75-300 users. As with SBS it is far more cost effective to buy than the equivalent standalone server and client access licences.
There are two versions – Standard and Premium and four servers:
