Leading IT specialist Blue Chip has managed to scoop yet another IT industry award, The Channel Network Awards held at Hilton Park Lane last week, awarded Blue Chip with ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ for their technology education campaign, “High Profile Companies Need High Performance IT”.

The aim of the campaign was to educate businesses and demonstrate how technology can help their businesses be successful, while offering advice on best practices, staff training and reducing operational spend to survive the recession.

The campaign focussed on the high performance IT solutions that Blue Chip has delivered for some notable customers, such as Suzuki and Jet2.com and how any business can take advantage of these technologies, cost effectively. This message was communicated through advertisements, e-communications, website animations, PR and large-scale ads in Southampton Airport’s departure lounge.

The campaign was a significant financial commitment for Blue Chip and key partners VMware, Citrix, Dell and EMC however, the message and objectives were ones in which all parties believed in and the campaign has subsequently proved to be extremely successful.

In the current economic climate it was noted that Blue Chip’s dedication and investment to marketing and educating their customers was particularly prevalent. IT resellers across the UK have either dramatically reined in their marketing expenditure, or cut the cost completely; Blue Chip has not only continued with their marketing, but have increased activity by 22%. The firm’s investment and subsequent growth can be seen company-wide from the employment of additional staff to the recently announced ‘end of year’ financial figures that demonstrate yet another year of dramatic growth.
