Christmas comes early for Southampton Charity

13th December 2011

Blue Chip staff got into the Christmas spirit this week by donating 100 educational toys and games to the children of Southampton’s ‘521 Youth Project’, a local charity dedicated to improving the social and educational support for young people aged between 5 and 21.

Blue Chip arranged for a Father Christmas to arrive at the 521’s annual carol concert as a surprise, and children aged between 5 and 12 years old queued for an opportunity to meet Santa and get their gift.

Blue Chip has supported the local youth charity since 2007 through a number of different means, financing trips to Tanzania for teenagers in 2008 and 2010 in conjunction with Canford School, refreshing the computers and laptops in the IT centre and providing gifts at a time of year that is a stretch for all families.

Richard Cook, Blue Chip MD commented: “Christmas is a time for children so we are just pleased that we can help in any way possible for such a worthy project and great kids. As we head into our fifth year of working together, we are excited about starting some new initiatives with the project”.
