Leading recruitment agency SOS Recruitment approached their IT partner, Blue Chip, to implement a business management application that utilised their current Microsoft technologies and streamlined their business processes.

With three offices across Bournemouth and Poole, SOS Recruitment are specialists in Permanent, Contract and Temporary recruitment for a wide variety of sectors including consultancy, banking, insurance, legal and many more.
SOS has grown rapidly and the processes and technologies that had been implemented early in their evolution were restraining the management team's expansion strategy. SOS required an intelligent business management system that could manage processes, adapt to the flexible nature of the business and deliver a great return on investment.

Blue Chip designed and implemented a staged rollout of Microsoft Dynamics NAV integrated with SQL Server, Windows SharePoint Services and Exchange Server. Microsoft Dynamics NAV addressed the following business needs: financial management, purchase and payables including payroll, Business Intelligence and sales and marketing.
Extensive and simplified customisation meant that new processes and functionality were added during the rollout including intelligent CV storage and discovery, an audit trail for SMS communications and bespoke document templates.
The project was delivered across the following three phases to ensure continuity of service -development of the central recruitment processes and data collection; reporting functionality and application integration; and extended business intelligence and network integration.

The main benefits of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation include;
- CV discovery and matching is now system driven, this saves significant amounts of time and is far more comprehensive and accurate;
- Full business integration means that processes are automated, audited and efficient providing SOS customers with excellent service;
- The business is long-term future proofed with a system that can grow with the business and be flexible and adaptive to the business requirements.
For SOS Recruitments bespoke requirements, the implementation of Dynamics NAV was in excess of £50,000 cheaper to implement than a comparable solution from SAP Business One or Bond Adapt.
