REQUIREMENT: HIGH RESILIENCE NETWORK Suzuki's MotoGP and British Super Bike teams need an IT provider they can rely on, an IT provider to ensure that Suzuki are world class in this highly competitive environment. Consequently, leading technology provider Blue Chip is delighted to be named as the official IT partner of Suzuki's MotoGP and British Super Bike teams. >> The Client Suzuki has been racing in motorcycle Grand Prix since 1960 and has won seven World Championship Manufacturer titles and five individual titles. As an organisation Suzuki is driven to succeed and therefore recognises the importance of a reliable and stable IT infrastructure for both their retail business and the racing teams. Consequently, it was deemed essential that their Infrastructure was replaced with brand new, highly resilient equipment, that will support the continued growth and success of all aspects of the business. >> Solution Blue Chip deployed Core Microsoft products including Exchange 2007 to achieve a highly resilient network, encompassing a fault-tolerant based email system & centralised file storage to eliminate downtime. This solution was tailored to include extensive disk storage and backup capacity, leaving the organisation room to expand, as Suzuki had outgrown their existing system. Encapsulating the HQ infrastructure upgrade, an ongoing support agreement was put in place to ensure both reactive and proactive IT support and maintenance at all times. The partnership has also seen Blue Chip provide the teams' trackside technology requirements and IT support. >> Success and Company Benefit Security for the network was increased through the implementation of a hardware-based Fortinet firewall to replace the problematic software-based solution previously in place. This also led to an increase in performance of external connectivity, such as web browsing and remote access; thus aiding the teams' trackside efforts. All levels of data storage have now been replicated to ensure zero downtime.
