REQUIREMENT: NETWORK RESILIENCE Leading law-firm Steele Raymond LLP looked to Blue Chip Data Systems, to provide a resilient core network to ensure high availability for its distributed offices in the south coast. >> The Client As one of the leading law firms in the South of England, Steele Raymond provides legal services to a broad range of private and commercial clients of all sizes. As part of their commitment to providing a high-quality service, Steele Raymond required increased network resilience and a disaster recovery system that could protect both them, and their clients. >> Solution Through implementation of a geographically dispersed email system utilising Windows 2003 Enterprise and Exchange 2003 clustering, a fully disaster tolerant system was achieved. Deploying Microsoft ISA server 2004 and Microsoft DFS allowed for redundant internet links and file storage, while Trend Micro's multi-tiered anti-virus protection protects all entries and exits on the network. Blue Chip continues to provide on-going technical support to assist the law firm's in-house IT team. >> Success and Company Benefit This resilient network would allow Steele Raymond to operate in the event of a complete site disaster, ensuring a higher level of productivity and reliability, thus saving time and money. Cliff Forrest, Steele Raymond IT manager supports this; "Our reputation and credibility are of paramount importance to our continued success and in order to achieve this goal we need the uppermost availability and reliability from our IT services. We demand the highest level of performance and efficiency from our systems, equipment and support. Blue Chip Data Systems delivered this."
